Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. You will receive a confirmation email with your booking reference. Pico Island Adventures operates under Maritime Tourism Licence Nr. 15/2009.
All bookings are strictly non-refundable. Once payment has been made, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including changes to travel plans, illness, or personal emergencies. We strongly recommend that guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Pico Island Adventures for record purposes.
We reserve the right to cancel or modify any tour due to adverse weather, sea conditions, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, guests will be offered an alternative date or a full refund. No additional compensation will be provided.
All tours are weather-dependent. Our skippers and marine biologists make final go or no-go decisions on safety grounds. Guest safety overrides all other considerations.
Guests must be in good general health to participate. Those with heart conditions, severe seasickness history, recent surgery, or pregnancy should consult a physician before booking. All guests must follow the safety briefing given by the crew.
Access to Princess Alice Bank requires Advanced Open Water certification and 50 logged dives. All divers must complete a preparation dive day before accessing advanced sites. No exceptions will be made.
Azorean law prohibits entering the water in the presence of whales. All wildlife interactions are conducted in accordance with Portuguese maritime and environmental law.
Guests participate in all activities at their own risk. Pico Island Adventures maintains full maritime liability insurance as required by Portuguese law. Personal belongings are the sole responsibility of the guest.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Azores, Portugal.
